The rubber plate vulcanizing press (also called flat vulcanizing machine, plate vulcanizer, or simply vulcanizing press) is a core piece of equipment in the rubber and polymer processing industry. It uses parallel heated platens and hydraulic pressure to cure raw rubber compounds into finished products with stable mechanical properties.

Working Principle

1. Heating System: Platens are heated via electric heating rods, steam, or thermal oil, maintaining temperatures typically between 140–200°C.
2. Pressurization: A hydraulic system generates clamping force (usually 0.1–50 MPa) to compress the rubber, eliminate air bubbles, and ensure full mold filling.
3. Curing Time: Held under constant temperature and pressure for a set period (5–30 minutes for most products) to complete cross‑linking.
4. Cooling & Demolding: After curing, the press opens, and the part is cooled and removed.
