Product Description
A layered fabric core rubber conveyor belt is made with multiple layers (usually 2-6) of fiber fabric (such as cotton, nylon, or polyester) as the core material. The layers are bonded together with rubber and covered with upper and lower rubber.
Structure and Components
1. Core Layer (Canvas Layer):
· Material: This is where the core differs. Common canvas types include:
· Cotton canvas (CC): Used in the early days, it has low strength and is prone to mildew, and is now less common.
· Nylon canvas (NN): High impact resistance, fatigue resistance, and good elasticity. However, it has a high initial elongation and requires a longer tensioning stroke. It is currently one of the most popular types.
· Polyester canvas (EP): High modulus, low elongation, and good dimensional stability. However, its fatigue and impact resistance are slightly inferior to nylon. It is also currently the most popular type. Nylon-Polyester Blended Canvas (EP/NN): Combining the advantages of both materials, polyester provides dimensional stability to the warp, while nylon provides impact resistance and flexibility to the weft.
2. Covering Rubber:
Top Covering Rubber: Depending on the material being conveyed, rubber formulations with varying properties, such as wear resistance, impact resistance, tear resistance, oil resistance, heat resistance, and flame retardancy, can be selected.
Bottom Covering Rubber: Mainly requires wear resistance and good friction fit with rollers.
