Continental ST steel cord conveyor belts are the primary solution for long-distance, high-tension and large-drop heavy bulk material transport, widely used in open-pit mines, underground mines and long port galleries.
Multiple galvanized high-toughness steel cords serve as reinforcement inside the belt. Permanent elongation is ≤0.25%. Low elongation reduces required take-up travel and civil engineering cost, especially for multi-kilometer long conveying lines. Steel cords bond strongly with core rubber for anti-delamination and corrosion resistance. Splices follow DIN22131 dynamic standard with high splice efficiency under cyclic impact load.
Customers can choose Survivor abrasion-resistant, Solar-Shield heat-resistant or flame-retardant cover rubber. ST grades range from ST630 up to ultra-high strength ST10000, covering small aggregate lines to huge open-pit overland conveyors. Long factory prefabricated belt segments reduce on-site splice quantity and splice failure risk.
Applications: Coal, iron ore, gold ore, aggregates and port bulk cargo.
